A wide variety of vocal ensembles are available to all students on The University of Alabama campus. Participation in an approved ensemble is required for vocal music majors each semester, offering them valuable performance experience, exposure to high-quality repertoire, and enriching musical moments with their fellow singers.
Choral participation is available on a credit or non-credit basis.
Vocal ensembles include the UA Opera Theatre and four University Choirs: Chamber Choir, Treble Chorus, University Chorus, and University Singers, the premier choral ensemble in the UA School of Music. Placement in University Singers is by audition only, and all questions regarding the choral program in the School of Music should be directed to Dr. Morgan Luttig, the Director of Choral Activities.
